Our Social Marketing Plan

I've been watching the explosion of the social media marketing and despite my anit-techy personality I'm very intrigued. 3 years ago at the WPO conference I attended the "social networking" session expecting something completely different but listened to what they were saying. It reminds me when email came on the scene. I'll sign up and see where it goes...

We at The Events Company strive to always be leaders in our industry and so we are embracing social marketing. We held our mid-year road map review this week and this is a big part of our marketing approach. We've always used relationship building as a way to secure new clients. So, this isn't too different, just building the relationship through cyber space.

Our approach:
  • Post a weekly blog on our website http://www.theeventscompany.com/
  • Update weekly our home pages with photos from our latest events, new things we're working on, and invites to events in our showroom
  • Our Decor Divas will post a weekly blog on our event design website http://www.teceventdesign.com/
  • Daily Tweets from various team members: NicoleSamolis, TheEventsCompany, and DecorDiva.
  • Facebook Page and Fan Page - Kate and Mallory (our millenials) are working on this
  • Each of our team members will have a Linked-in page and will update what they are working on daily as well as add 10 new connections weekly. I also just learned you can do a company Linked-in page. Watch for this.
  • Join groups. I currently belong to 3 industry groups.
  • Participation in wedding forums on syracuse.com and syracuseweddings.com providing bridal couples with professional answers to their questions and recommendations for great service providers.
Through a strategic approach we can gain a presence in cyber space without spending endless hours. Each team member will spend 15-20 minutes daily. We'll track our success. Success to us means being the go to people for any event need or question.

Ready or not, here we go!
